I am from Cape Town! You should choose me because I have never been to Splashy and I have heard a million awesome things about it. I’m a young, single mom of twins who never gets to party. Give me the chance, please! If I had balls, I’d shave them and make a moustache out of the hair and wear it!
Pick me
Hi guys.
I am a post-grad student from Cape Town and would really like to go to Splashy Fen for no other reason that my friends that have been there had so much fun! My aim for my last year of studying is to go to the SA festivals I haven’t been to. Splashy is one of them, and winning the tickets would contribute a lot to reaching my goal.
Thanks!
C
I think I should win these tickets , because my ginger friend tyrone parsons is finally going to be playing on stage this year and because I have always braged to him how cool splashy is and promiced that if he plays there this year(seeing that it will be his first time at splashy fen ) I would be their to support him, the only problem is I now find my self jobless and have no money to buy a ticket . Please let me win so tyrone is not deprived of the only friends he’s got and that I can make it a Splashy Fen he will never forget, just like my first time was!
Hi! Im originally from Durban but living and working in Cape Town now.
I have already bought flights for a week over easter weekend (which were expensive considering its easter weekend).
Why should i go? Well Ive been going for years since i love our local music scene and this years line up looks to be one of the best in recent years! Sadly last year was the first one i had to miss since i had recently moved down to Cape Town but vowed to return this year. I have my flights booked but have yet to buy my ticket to the festival. So help a guy out here??
I’m from Johannesburg, I have been to Splashy once before and it was one fantastic festival, which made memories I’ll never forget. From arriving at 9pm on the first night, rushing to watch Isochronous, waking up the next morning to the best scenery one could ask for at a festival. Jamming in the day to some of the best musicians I have seen. Hearing the soul piercing guitar of Dan Patlansky, squeaking some tekkie to Dance, You’re on fire. Hanging around with good friends with a one of the best festival vibes I have ever experienced………. Man oh man!!! Would I love to do it again!!!
I’m so keen to go to Splashy Fen!
I’ve never been before, I always just hear the amazing stories.
I also want to tell a story about it!
I’m originally from the Lowveld, so I lurve nature. Combining that with top SA music – heaven.
I’m a student in Pretoria, as students are always counting their pennies, winning these tickets would really help out! I need to tick this fest off my list!
I reside in Snor city. I love P-town but you know what I love more? MUSIC!
Oh my goodness gracious, music makes me googly eyed and excited. It makes me want to wear a toga and prance around suburbia. (I’m not really sure why, but bedsheets are liberating)
I’ve never been to Splashy but of all the festivals it’s the one I’ve wanted to visit most. I hear that it’s got White Mountain magic mixed with Oppi madness. sounds like the PERFECT combo to me.
I’m student, and while eating rice for a month is something I’d be willing to do in order to save money to go – it would be nice to, you know – not.
So, good vibes and what not, will keep my fingers crossed
I’m in Gauteng. Really Really REALLY want to win these tickets for me and the bf, its our 1 year anniversary coming up, he always treats me (cause I’m a broke student, studying music, which means I’m a broke musician student hehe) please let me win these tickets so we can rock hard on our special day
Hey,my name is Vicky Barnard from Cape Town, and I think I should be chosen since I am a student at UCT and work my ass off each day and need to chill for once. Also,I’d love double tickets since I habe such an amazing boyfriend who really want to surprise with a ticket to splashy fen.He means so much to me and all I want is for him to be happy.I never win anything so it would be amazing to win this!!
Although I’m originally from P-Town, I live in Cape Town and call myself a Kaapenaar. Splashy has long been on my annual list of “things to do this year”, each and every year, but has always been just too far for my poor student budget to allow. Now that I work, I’m even poorer. Getting these tickets would truly mark a great yardstick in my musical-spiritual education! What am I most looking forward to? (In no particular order) ISO, getting wet, getting ‘lekker’, DJ inviZAble, Red Bull madness and being absolutely inappropriate, the sight of a grand sunset and the sound of beats rolling over the hills. I’m getting nostalgic already.
Pick Me! Pick Me!
I’m from Cape Town. Never been to Splashy, but would love to go. I’ve had a bad start to the year and would love a nice getaway.
So, please, pick me, pick me!!!
Pick me! Pick me! I would LOVE to go to Splashy… Please.
I would also like to take my friend who has been the best person ever, and this would be the best way to say thank you.
I need a getaway as my last 4 years in Cape Town I haven’t been able to, and I have missed all the major festivals, because I can’t afford them. I don’t want to miss this.
Splashy!!!
Hi guys and girls,
I tried using my supernatural telepathy powers to hack your brains, to convince you that I should win the Splashy Fen #24 tickets. I soon realised that I actually have telepathetic powers.
Definition of telepathetic: a miserable failure in an attempt to use mental telepathy to communicate or receive information.
Hey, but admit it, we all try telepathy from time-to-time, so I had to try my luck to go to Splashy Fen.
Love and regards,
Dawie from Pretoria
would love tickets cant afford
Hi there!
I’m from Johannesburg, and my most favourite place in the world is Underberg.
Strange that I’ve never made the mission to Splashy! (I’ve been ignorant too long.) I hope this’ll be the year I experience the awesomeness that everyone has told me about! I wish you could choose everyone, but I’m a student, and this year has not treated me very well. I can’t afford to go, so if I won tickets it would brighten up my world! Also – splashy fen was established the year I was born! So every single year of my life so far, I’ve missed out on the brill bands, the beautiful scenery, the swims, the laughs, the people and all that is splashy. Dying for the green rolling freshness, joburg is too grey.
Thanks and cheers
Rain
Whichever way i try,
to win this competition,
I have a duty to rhyme,
at least one line,
with ol’ legendary “Syd Kitchen”.
Just a few years ago,
some time way back when,
my dad built Syd a guitar,
which he would take in his car,
to play all the way at Splashy Fen.
But my very first Splashy,
just so happened to be,
the very same year,
where when saying “we’re here”
includes everyone else except he.
Yet his guitar remains on stage,
besides the Aquarian Quartet,
because at Splashy there’s that spirit,
where there’s not a person or a minute,
that anybody there would ever forget!
It is for this very reason,
that a little Gautenger like me,
would want to get away from the city,
you know it, it’s shitty,
and spend the weekend where i could enjoy a fresh breeze!
this is fantastic!
I currently reside in Joburg.
Why should you choose me? Well up until I attended Splashy for my first time in 2012, I had been living a deprived and meaningless life. A life without Splashy Fen.
I stayed in Durban last year but now I’m back in Joburg and as a student, have no means of paying for the costly(but well worth the money) ticket AND transport
I’m keen. Like, REALLY keen…to experience it again. I miss the Durban folk and what better way to re-unite than to witness great music being performed in a setting like no other! If you give me a double ticket, you’d be changing lives.
I would ask to be chosen because I love the idea behind the music festival, behind any music festival really. This beautiful concept of everyone coming together for the love of music is such a surreal yet such a tangible thing. It is amazing. I have never been to any form of music festival, and I hear constant stories about how amazing splashy fen is… But I also don’t feel that it is reason enough to win a ticket… Haven’t read the other posts yet
I am from the beautiful city of Cape Town, and I would LOVE to win Double tickets to Splashy Fen.
I am a proud supporter of South Africa, and South African music. I do whatever possible to support the amazing talent that our incredible country has to offer. I try my best to attend all the amazing festivals, especially the ones that take place in the most beautiful venue, with the most serene landscape, the absolute BEST bands, and the ultimate party line-up, such as Splashy Fen.
This year, I have a couch surfer with me, all the way from Berlin, and I would love to show her how South Africans can party, as well as how beautiful our country is! I would be driving from Cape Town, with a full packed car (my couzin, and her boyfriend- who’s band is performing at Splashy Fen- Facing the Gallows) so we can reduce our carbon footprint.
PLEASE help me show the world how we party, and how incredibly beautiful our country side is. I need to win these tickets, or else, everyone I’ve ever known will be having the best time at the best festival, dancing under the open sky of the beautiful Underberg, and we’ll be sitting at home drowning in our own tears.
Help me spread the love… Give me the tickets! Pleeeeeaaassse! With a big cherry on top!
Pingback: Splashy Express – Only 8 Tickets Left To Splashy Fen Festival! | SA Music Scene Gauteng
I live in Johannesburg, Gauteng … hundreds of kilometers from where the magical festival of Splashy Fen 2013 will be.
But I have made the journey before. Last year, 2012. And it was a weekend I have not forgotten …
You see I love the South African music scene and music festivals are the weekends I live for. Unfortunately my girlfriend has never experienced a weekend music festival the shear life changing magnitude that is the oldest running music festival in South Africa, truth be told she only went to her first live gig this year because of me. “What!” you say. Yes, its true, really it is … and a sad truth at that.
But I intend to change that. So with my girlfriend in mind, please help me show her what Splashy Fen is really about, and why it is South Africa’s longest running music festival!
CAPE TOWN
No tickets = no Splashy = life ruined.
C’mon, don’t do that to me!
What kind of student has a spare R600 for festival tickets?
Not this one.
What kind of student would draw you a picture, begging you to give me those tickets?
Me. A very desperate one.
take a look…

(and i’m living in cape town)
Pretoria,
If its the ONLY place to be this Easter then i just gotta be there.. Right?
I’m from Pretoria. Obviously I would love to win these tickets! As a student, it would help me out, as getting there is already so expensive. Although, you can’t put a price on the experience. Help a sister out!
I’m from Potchefstroom, moving to Cape Town later this year. I’ve never been to Splashy and would love to go, my best friend from Dubai is going and I can’t handle the fact that I won’t be joining her while she’s in the country for a little while. Please guys help a desperate missy out.
I am a student at UCT and am all about representing the beauties and opportunities our gorgeous city has to offer! I unfortunately can’t always afford it all as Student Life is sometimes a Hard Life but I would LOVELOVELOVE to win this! I am a huge fan of Dj Invizable as well as Desmond and the Tutus and I try to never miss a performance! I have only heard great things about this festival and can only help by spreading the word. I would love to win
This would be amaaaazing!
oooh before you decide give those tickets away
listen to what I have to say
my name is melissa I’m from Cape Town, thank you for your time
here are the reasons why those tickets deserve to be mine..
Its fun in the sun
the musics so good
everyone’s friendly, like all festival goers should
and when the music just keeps going all day and night
I will make sure to have the best time of my life
So please oh please help me to go to splashy
It will be so thankful and happy !!
I am from Durban, I am a high school student who has been to Splashy in 2012 and 2011, however I only had a day pass and did not get to experience all Splashy has to offer.
My best friend and I have been counting the sleeps since last year as my parents finally agreed to let us go to Splashy 2013!!!! We made plenty plans (mainly all through maths class) and talked about it continually…..BUT, the time to buy splashy tickets approached fast and after many hours spent begging my parents decided it was something too expensive. I offered to pay my way but it still means they would be paying over R1000 and since splashy isnt something they are not exactly HUGE fans of (they enjoy it,but not enough to pay that amount), we came to an agreement that if by some miracle I could win them 2 tickets we could go….I have been listening to the radio as much as possible and searching online every night. Splashy is an experience I believe every teenager should have (even with parent tag alongs)……How i would LOVE to suprise them by actually WINNING TICKETS!
