Dragon Ginger at Stellenbosch Craft Beer Fest

You have sold more than 1 million litres of beer. When you started this brewery in a garage – did you ever think it would grow to this size?
It was our aim to get to this stage but never knew it would happen. I took the risk and put in blood, sweat and tears and it paid off. The reception to the brand and taste of the contents has been amazing worldwide. Customers out there love the fact that it is gluten free, low in sugar, made from real ginger, naturally fermented, unique refreshing at the same time.

What do we all have to look forward to from Dragon Ginger at Stellenbosch Craft Beer Festival? It’s loved by both young and old, male and female and refreshes your pallet. I would say the customers and look forward to a refreshing beverage which you can feel good about consuming seeing that it is gluten free, low in sugar made from real ginger and with alcohol. You and the consumers can also look forward to our Apple ginger, Double dragon 8% alcohol, Apple cider, Dragon light 2% alcohol and our non-alcoholic Kings ginger same as Dragon without the alcohol.

You guys base your flavour on SA’s much loved ginger beer. What was the inspiration behind it and how do you choose the specific level of flavour? Are you also looking to expand the range?
We are proud to be SA’S MUCH LOVED REAL GINGER BEER, thanks to all our followers out there. Our inspiration is that from that traditional old school ginger beer brewed in baths by most of our granny’s and gemmer beer brewed in the locations by our local with added alcohol and choose our specific flavour level to be consumed by all pallets. Our range has expanded to the above question answered.

Dragon 5% alcohol: Naturally fermented from real ginger into alcohol with added yeast, little sugar, Vitamin C (citric acid) with added water through our carbonation machine into our bottling machine crafted to refreshing perfection and packaged the way you know Dragon.

Dragon light 2% alcohol: Naturally fermented from real ginger into alcohol with added yeast, low sugar and stevia, Vitamin C (citric acid) with added water through our carbonation machine into our bottling machine and crafted to refreshing perfection packaged the way you know Dragon.

Dragon Apple 5% alcohol: Naturally fermented from real ginger into alcohol with added yeast, little sugar, Vitamin C (citric acid), Apple flavour with added water through our carbonation machine into our bottling machine crafted to refreshing perfection and packaged the way you know Dragon.

Double Dragon 8% alcohol: Naturally fermented from real ginger into alcohol with added yeast, little sugar, Vitamin C (citric acid) extra alcohol and extra ginger with added water through our carbonation machine into our bottling machine crafted to refreshing perfection and packaged the way you know Dragon.

Kings non-alcoholic: The same as Dragon original without the alcohol.
