Are you good with words? Do you have a keen love for music? Have you ever wanted an excuse to ask your favourite musicians about their music, and not seem like an obsessive fan? Do you want to receive music before it is released, and even receive physical copies of album? Do you want to be able to attend shows for free, and simply pay your way into a concert with cleverly crafted words?
If you have answered yes to the above words, then we are offering you the opportunity to do all of the above. South African Music Scene are opening up their doors to all aspiring writers that wish to contribute their ideas and opinions regarding South African music, and about the international music scene as a whole.
The requirements are quite simple. You must merely be fairly proficient with writing, able to work independently, have good interpersonal skills, able to take constructive criticism, be reliable, and most of all – a love for music of any particular genre is essential. You do not need any past experience to qualify for a position. Every great writer stood somewhere, and South African Music Scene aims to be one of those places.
