The Ramones Tribute Show!

“For me, punk is about real feelings. It’s not about “yeah, I am a punk and I’m angry.” That’s a lot of crap. It’s about loving the things that really matter: passion, heart, and soul.”
JOEY RAMONE

For one night only Cape Town will pay tribute to the Ramones. Few bands have influenced as many great modern day musicians and inspired the birth of as many great rock bands from all over the world as the Ramones have. And few bands will leave as lasting an impression on both listeners and musicians alike for years to come.

The importance of the Ramones in the history of underground music cannot be stressed enough – they injected their brand of loud, fast, aggressive and beautifully melodic Rock ‘n Roll straight into the veins of a New York Music scene, at the time stagnant and desperate for a revolution. Tommy, Johnny, DeeDee and Joey came at the right time, and exposed the world to something new, something beautiful, PUNK ROCK.
