I’ve loooved Bastille since their very first single came out and I saw them live when they came here in 2014. It was one of the best concerts I’ve been too and I would looove to see them again! The atmosphere and vibe of Bastille is beautiful and so much fun! Please pick this Bastille lover to see one of my favorite bands again!

I love love love Bastille ,It would be “way beyond” “An Act of Kindness ” , you just cant “fake it ” if you love Bastille there music is great and and i love that it tells a story .Here is a fun fact …well i am sure you already know it but Durban Skies is dedicated to Smith’s parents who come from South Africa. The song tells the story of how his parents met, fell in love, and got married… How romantic .I would love to show the love in Johannesburg Emmarentia Dam on Saturday, 7th October with my love 🙂

    Quick for a backstory…
The first time Bastille announced that they were happily flying their asses over to SA for two “chuck-norris-action-packed” shows, I was sitting in a compulsory sheer-existential-numbing 2 hour talk about transformation in the work place. I tried to act all professional and composed but the mighty god of Valhalla decided to bliksem my phone with a twitter notification that rattled my books right off my desk…”BASTILLE IS COMING TO SA”! Fuck my life was I excited…I felt like a farmer from the rural lands getting a notification that Steve Hoffmeyer will make an appearance in the local school hall…! That day turned into errands…enough errands to drown a sumo wrestler in…business errands.”I must buy tickets I kept telling myself” but I just couldn’t rally the time to command my few fat fingers to buy those tickets. Needless to say when that next notification popped-up that tickets were sold out, I was gutted…felt like a little girl that experienced her first break-up. Those tickets were hotcakes it seemed…delicious custard tarts baked by Nataniel himself. So yeah I missed that gig…I even decided to creep people at the Kirstenbosch gates in hopes that someone might want to sell their ticket…even though I was as persistent as a druggie-beggar craving his next fix…no such luck. Now that Bastille decided to come for the second time…they decided to holiday in my most ghastly financial month of the year. Not fun…too many bills+debit orders!
Please send me to the Cape Town gig. I will jump like a yorkshire terrier that’s been allowed on the bed for the first time on a Saturday morning. I utterly enjoy this band and would consider doing much for this…

I really need to go see Bastille as they are on every playlist I’ve created. Best one is my roadtrip playlist. And the best part is I love the supporting act Opposite the Other so the Cape Town show is a dream come alive.

I am a Bastille fan since they only did covers. I wanted to attend the show in 2014 but due to exams I could not. I am probably one of the biggest Bastille fans. I have even posted 7 times to Big Concerts to bring me out but ‘We Are Live’ came to the rescue. Seeing them live would be a dream come true.I have both their albums and a Bastille t-shirt. I know the lyrics to every song, and I am considering getting a tattoo of their logo.

Getting to go see Bastille live with my friend would be an awesome opportunity. We have been waiting since 2014 to see them as we unfortunately missed their last gig in South Africa. I’ve been listening and loving their awesome music since 2012. What an amazing experience this will be! 🙂 #BastilleIsLife! #BastilleSA

my friend and I (who are huge fans) missed their last gig because we couldn’t afford tickets. I just recently turned 21 and because of unforeseen issues, didn’t do anything on the day to celebrate it. It would be a great pick-me-up for two broke varsity students! Johannesburg!

How strange, an English band whose name
recalls the French’s widespread fame –
how Monarchy was dealt a blow
by those who sought to overthrow.

And yet this band first gained our favour
    by neither French nor English song;
‘Pompeii’ the title of their saviour
proved that these men could do no wrong.

I missed them last when they were here,
    at Kirstenbosch (my favourite place!)
and had to listen with mine ear
of stories told about their bass.

I’ve chanted along to Bastille’s tunes
    on many, many afternoons.
But it can never be the same
as being at their actual game.

So here I ask, and ask some more,
to win those tickets through the door.
That I might hear songs hypnotize,
in Cape Town’s air and starry skies.

the last time Bastille came to South Africa I was out of the country. I was upset that I didn’t get to see them. I’ve been a fan since I listened to Pompei and found every lyric relatable. the music and great and the album brings back so many memories. from falling in love, to travel and to self reflection. I know every song, all the lyrics. Rhythm of the night is my jogging sound track and Oblivion has always reminded me of my late grandfather in the most peaceful way. I’d love to see them. I would be the girl standing in front, singing my lungs out to every amazing song.

My love (and slight obsession) for Bastille started more or less at the age of 16 for me. I was singing Pompeii long before 5fm was playing it as a “new hot hit”. When they came to Johannesburg at the beginning of 2014 – I was the happiest person that had ever lived. I still feel to this day that they came to South Africa because of me (see attached image) (despite the fact Dan Smith’s has South African connections – hence their song Durban Skies). I remember the day I found out Bastille was coming to South Africa for the first time like it was yesterday. I was back at my boarding house and it was break time – so this was when we all got a moment to go on our phone for a bit. I had just heard from someone else that BASTILLE WAS COMING TO SA and I phoned my mom immediately asking if I could get tickets. She answered the phone and said “Why haven’t you replied to my sms?” I then went on in a rush telling her about Bastille and she just said “look at the sms” and hung up. In the confusion I looked at the sms.. and there is was – a screenshot of the tickets my mom has already bought for me. My family even knew about my made obsession! Making my own Bastille shirt, painting my nails black and writting “BASTILLE” on them and being front row at their 2014 concert was enough for me then. Knowing there is an opportunity to meet Dan, Kyle, Will and Chris is utterly exciting – their songs have put me through many tough times and have brought me many joys. Winning this will be the cherry on top of my 21st year of life! Francois Conradie is attending the concert with me and would be just as excited to meet them! Bastille We Are Live

Like most other people commenting here I am to a big Bastille supporter. I’ve got their whole discography in my car. The lyrics are personal for me like “things we lost in the fire”, I’m a fireman so I’ve seen people lose everything in fires and this song always comes to mind. Then there is “what would you do?”, is there a more touching song?
I could rant like this about every song including the original version of pompei on their EP, the vocals and instruments are amazing in every song.
My girlfriend soon to be fiancé’s birthday is on Monday the 9th October and this is my first Saturday in almost two months that I’m not going to be on shift (can anyone think of a better way to spend the day together)
    Both pages has been liked…
Please help us to go see the Johannesburg performance live
