The Good Luck Bar – literally in my backyard and my favourite place in Jozi! I have so many amazing memories at GLB – from watching Francois Van Coke, Shortstraw, and Prime Circle to watching the Springboks in the Rugby World Cup on Big screen. My favourite memory in the last 2 years is when Shortstraw played at the Recording Studios 5th Birthday Charity Bash. Recording Studios were raising awareness and money for deaf children who had never experienced the magic of music and they had a Sign Language interpreter standing on stage interpreting all the Shortstraw songs (have you heard some of their lyrics!). Such an amazing show and for a good cause! The GLB is awesome

Where do I even start?? I was introduced to The GLB by a friend, we went there in June last year, I thought it was jus going to would be an ordinary event – only to be surprised. This was Mathew Moles launching his album and shooting a debut video with us. The crowds is always vibey, supporting acts were great! Which leads me to the next one.

Later I attended the Euphoria Music fest. The event setting was great. I liked the entertainment that was around, not just on stage. The Goodluck photobooths, dops and food and later on Euphonik’s performance.

A week later they hosted OneSight Acoustic, I had to be there- featured Freshly Ground. Their performance was great, especially from the debut album. This is a must-go-to for any Joburger and everyone who visits Joburg!
